12th August 2010- We Are Now Living In The Future

Sometimes things move so slowly they can barely be said to be moving at all. Lost Nation is one of those things. BUT please be assured that the comic is moving, does continue to move, and will continue to move, for the foreseeable future. Issues 1 and 2 are getting a total revamp in preparation to be printed together as a "graphique novelle" and from then on the comic as it stands upon the website will be available to buy in printed form, albeit with some narrative alterations and such. In other news, our art is seeing some extra-comical use as album art for Helsinki Seven and some of my own personal brand of comicery is soon to be on display in the newest Nexion conglomeration novel.

Things will come to a head. But first; moar beer plz.

13th May 2009--------- It's been a while coming, some might say months, but here we are finally with the new website. We've not really been quite as busy as we should have been over the weeks whilst the site has been getting developed, but assuredly the storyline for the comic has been progressed up to a level that is starting to take it into the realms of a "real", more adult or mature comic. At this rate, we might even have a plot twist or two thrown in there! Certainly I thik we are taking less and less time to do more grand artwork, which means more time to work on the plot and dialogue.

On a more commercial note, ever heard of lulu publishing? Me neither until recently, but they do online publishing, allowing comic creators to order small batchs of their work in print for not too much money. A group of scottish comic book artists and writers recently published a book on there called Nexion which can be bought there either in print form or an E-book for 2.75, which is for a 68-page black and white book with colour cover art. Not bad at all. This has given us a bit of a impetus to do our own book, possibly a compilation of the first three episodes, to sell online or at the local comic shop in Northwich, Cheshire (and possibly warrington). This at least takes off some of the pressure of considering having to save up a vast capital to spend on a proper printing run with a "real" printing company; we can sort of do it within our own budgetary constraints and generate some more interest in the comic without having to lose our cars and mortgages.

Well, there will be more bloggage to come soon, but for now, this is Ellen Ripley, last survivor of the Nostromo, signing awf.
